After breakfast at the diner we left Lehigh and headed to our next destination. It was only 290 miles, but took us better part of 6 hours.
The last 60 miles took us through the Green Mountains on a two lane winding hilly road. We knew that we were close, but could not find any signs leading us to the Pine Hollow Campground in Pownel, VT,
Using the age old plan, men don't ask directions, was not working, we stopped at a roadside shop and Barb found out with we only two blocks away on route 7 to the entry road. Well not quite entry road; 1 1/2 miles later, more winding hilly gravel roads we arrived.
As we drove trough the entrance we thought we were in RV paradise. The owner greeted us before we even got out and led us to a shaded spot on a hill, backed up by the forest. We had the entire section to ourselves. Full hookup to boot.
Of course being in a forest comes with a few problems, namely mosquitoes. This variety we small but persistent, a liberal covering of "Off Family Care Clean Feel" solved that problem.
Went into Williamstown, beautiful town with huge college campus. Williams college dates back to 1793 with 2100 students. Found supermarket in Benningtown and stopped at the "Chef Hat" for dinner.
The reviews on the travel site raved about it, we gave it a 6 on a scale of 10. Think of Shoneys, and you get the idea.
